it doesn't hurt to dream
:: Imagine there’s a quote here about small things having meaningful value ::
What I’m up to
Sitting at my dining table with a timer set and a basket next to me. Once that timer goes off, my 6 year old knows its time for me to go on a scavenger hunt around the house finding stickers she’s hidden - collecting them in the basket. She loves organizing games like this and I love … learning to set boundaries to protect my down time.
What I’m manifesting? hoping for? dreaming of?
The owner of an amazing book store (dedicated to books about coffee!) messaged me today asking if I was planning to be at the Nordic Coffee Festival next month. I left the message “unread” for a day or so, wishing I could respond with a “yes” but knowing it was completely out of the question. How fun would it be to sign books in Sweden?
But also - why not express my desire with a question? “Ok I get your msg and I’m immediately like “how can I get to Sweden?!?” I know it’s an insane ask but IF you know of anyone who could sponsor a flight - I’m totally free that weekend.”
So we just put it out there in our Instagram stories. Can anyone get me to Sweden? Let’s see. It’s fun to dream, you know?
What I’m cooking
Lately I’ve been looking up “cozy winter recipes” and this one from the other night is a sure winner: One Pan Chicken and Gnocchi
(P.S. My 2.5 year old say the word “gnocchi” is adorable.)
What I’m loving
Got my boots! Love. Tried Monogram’s Orange Matcha… also love!
What I’m Googling
writers retreat scholarships (this sounds like a dream!)
